Where We Are

LOCAL AREA

LOCATION: Our apartments are located in one of the most desirable parts of West London. It is only 30 minutes by train to Central London, but don’t overlook St Margarets itself – with its charming cafés and shops, it retains a relaxed, village air and is a gem of a place. Neighbouring Richmond has a lively riverfront on the Thames and a bustling town centre with excellent restaurants, a cinema and a theatre. Twickenham, the home of rugby union, is also a short walk away. Feltham, Sunbury, Wimbledon and other hubs of West London are all within easy reach.

SHOPPING: You’ll find pubs, cafés, restaurants, shops and a supermarket in St Margarets, with a wealth of high-street favourites, designer boutiques and department stores a walk away in Richmond. Kingston has one of the best shopping malls in Surrey, and the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepherds Bush (an easy journey on the London Underground) has over 300 shops with a mix of designer and high-street labels.

NATURE: We are situated at the heart of a wonderfully green area of West London. Marble Hill Park, deer-filled Richmond Park and riverside footpaths by the Thames are all on our doorstep, and we can suggest walking routes. Ruislip, Runnymede and Hampton Court are all easy to reach and offer historic scenic walks and beautiful spaces. You can also visit the world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, and marvel at the collections of rare and exotic plants, regular summer concerts and imaginative events for all ages.

HISTORY: The Barons enjoys an enviable location in one of the most historically significant areas of London. Our avenue was named after the barons who gathered here in 1263 to challenge the authority of King Henry III. A bus- or boat-ride away, 500-year-old Hampton Court Palace was once home to King Henry VIII, and offers a glorious palace and gardens, children’s activity area and famous maze. Marble Hill House and Sandycombe Lodge (once home to the artist JMW Turner) are a stone’s throw from our apartments, while Richmond has its own palace and a wealth of great architecture.

SPORT: We are very proud of Twickenham Stadium, the world famous rugby union venue that hosts international and domestic matches, concerts, events and the World Rugby Museum. For tennis enthusiasts, the All England Club at Wimbledon can be reached direct by rail from Richmond station. And you only need travel to Richmond Park to experience the glamour and drama of the royal sport of polo.
